Keating Hall from the southeast soon after its final expansion, ca. 1990. Keating was the only campus dining hall from 1937 until Escalante Terrace was completed in 1961, at which time there were two dining halls to serve the growing campus population. Dining was discontinued at Escalante in the 1980s; Keating was enlarged yet again in 1989. Keating Hall was demolished to make way for the Pinnacles apartments ca. 2011.

Keating Hall viewed from the south-southeast shortly after its completion, ca. 1938. Ouray Hall is on the right (east); Coronado Hall is barely visible on the left (west). Keating Hall was named for John F. Keating, superintendent of Pueblo schools and a strong supporter of Western. He was a summer school faculty member at Western and served as president for one summer.
